Lot 11:
A framed photo by listed photographer Gene Wright from San Francisco titled, "Cable Car Track". In 1949, Mr. Wright moved to San Francisco, worked for a while as a photographer for the Southern Pacific Railroad, and then scraped together enough money to open his own studio in the 1400 block of Grant Avenue, near Green Street. He built up his business shooting images of San Francisco. At first, he had no idea whether they would sell, but people going by his shop would see the photographs, and many started buying them. The photograph measures in the frame 11” H x 5” W.
