RARE CAMERAS & PHOTOGRAPHY
Lot 86:
Leica D.R.P. camera, Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Camera f=5cm 1: 1.5, Nr. Please note the aperture doesn’t seem to be fully closed as shown in photos. Early Leica cameras bear the initials D.R.P., which stands for Deutsches Reichspatent, the name for German patents before May 1945. This is probably a reference to German patent No. 384071 “Rollfilmkamera” granted to Ernst Leitz, Optische Werke in Wetzlar, on November 3, 1923.
