Lot 120:
A stunning tray or dish crafted by listed potter, Mary Taylor for Rookwood Pottery circa 1884. Measures 5.25” W x 5.25” D. Signed on the verso by Taylor. Mary Aldis Taylor was born in Cincinnati in 1859. She decorated pieces at Rookwood Pottery for only a few of the early years, between 1883 and 1885. She is known for her delicate work in the Limoges style. Mary Taylor died in September, 1929. No visible cracks or chipping are present. An exquisite collector’s item.
