Lot 4:
A U.S. Civil War Model 1860 light cavalry sword made by Ames Manufacturing Company of Chicopee Massachusetts, circa 1865. Marked by the manufacturer and dated on the ricasso. With multiple inspector markings on the hilt, blade and scabbard. It features all brass mounts, a wood with leather wrapped sword grip, fully intact bound brass wire wrap and a steel scabbard. The leather of the grip is mostly intact, but it does show age and deterioration. With a 35″ curved blade, and a total length of 41″.
