Lot 40:
A collection of five exemplary handcrafted snuff bottles, originating from China. The first two bottles are high-relief and handcarved, dated in Chinese on the base the year of Qianlong Emperor (1711-1799 AD). Two reverse painted snuff bottles, painted from the inside of the bottle. A tan background snuff bottle with a wood topper depicting Chinese landscape scenes, circa 19th/early 20th C., and a Koi fish good luck snuff bottle, 20th C. Lastly, a hand-painted blue ceramic snuff bottle, 20th C. The tallest bottle measures 3.5″ H.
