A Smith and Wesson .44 Russian Double-Action, First Model revolver. Matching serial numbers under the latch, on the base of the grip, and the cylinder. Serial #1543. Manufactured circa 1881-1882. Note, the hammer does not currently stay in the locked position. 4" barrel length.
