“Not Grizzly Bear – Kutenai” a framed photograph by Edward S. Curtis. Purchased from a gallery in 1987 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Edward S. Curtis was an American photographer who was born in 1868. Numerous key galleries and museums such as the PDNB Gallery have featured Edward S. Curtis’s work in the past. Edward S. Curtis has been featured in articles for Photo-Eye Booklist, Art Journal Open and The Star Tribune. The most recent article is “Three significant collections shape Heritage’s sweeping Oct. 1 photographs auction” written for ArtDaily in September 2024. The artist died in 1952. Measures in the frame 15.5” H x 12.25” W.
