Lot 2:
A caricature in ink of Frank Morgan from The Wizard of Oz by listed artist Julius Kroll. Included with the caricature is a publicity fan photo and “The Wizard of Oz: The Official 75th Anniversary Companion” book and an assortment of Wizard of Oz memorabilia. Kroll (20th Century) immigrated from Germany to the USA in 1933, and was very well known among the Hollywood crowd and was welcomed by many who wanted to be drawn in caricature. Kroll produced thousands of great caricatures including Presidents from Franklin Roosevelt through Nixon, and others from Malcom X to the Beatles, and everyone in between. The framed caricature measures 11.25″ H x 8.75″ W.
