“Dr. Pierces Pleasant Pellets” an original oil painting by artist Jan McClarnan of Oregon. Signed in the bottom left corner of the painting. A depiction of the farm of 19th Century Dr. Ray Vaughn Pierce who sold a variety of “pharmaceutical remedies” that mostly contained quinine, opium and alcohol. Little is known of artist Jan McClarnan other than that she made oil paintings circa 1980’s in Oregon. This original painting measures in the frame 28.25″ H x 32.25″ W.
