A Great Britain Elizabeth I (1558-1603) Silver Crown, Seventh Issue, Mintmark 1, made of hammered sterling silver between 1601-1602. XRF analyzed positive for sterling silver. With a weight of 29.9 grams and diameter of 42 mm. Obverse shows moderate wearing in the center of the field, with visible crown and lettering on the edges. Reverse shows greater detail with clear lettering along the edge, and noticeable details on the shield. The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse “Elizabeth by the Grace of God, Queen of England France and Ireland; and on the reverse “I have made God our Helper” a Psalm from the Bible.
