Lot 126:
A stunning handcrafted vase made from Claro Walnut by Oregon woodturner, Gary McGuire. This bowl has blue epoxy fill in the cracks/voids and is signed by the artist underneath, shown in photos. This vase measures, 8” H x 10” W x 10” D. Gary’s artistic approach is to let the wood show forth its beauty. He approaches each piece of wood the same way, looking for the piece of art that is housed within the wood. Rarely does Gary have a concrete plan when he starts, but you will have to agree with the outcome, it is stunning.
