Lot 55:
A pair of polished fossilized Orthoceras bookends with wonderful detail and in very good overall condition. Each piece measures 6.75” H x 4” W x 3” D. Orthoceras is a genus of extinct nautiloid cephalopod restricted to Middle Ordovician-aged marine limestones of the Baltic States and Sweden. This genus is sometimes called Orthoceratites.
