Lot 78:
“Homestead”, an original watercolor by listed artist, Allen Ulmer. Housed in a wooden frame under glass and signed lower right. Measures in frame, 16.5” H x 20.5” W. Ulmer (1922-1990) born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in PA and the Art Students League in New York. He began his artistic career in magazine illustration. Soon, he took on drawing such newspaper features as ‘The Shadow’, ‘The Green Hornet’, ‘The Saint’, and ‘Tarzan’ in the 1940s and 1950s. Ulmer turned to fine arts in the late 1950s, working with paint and watercolors.
